Starting your fitness journey

Before you even touch a weight, we want to find out about your health & fitness goals. We go further to gain an accurate picture of who you are and what you need prior to committing time and money. To start with, you’ll have a phone meeting with Rod Shuttleworth, owner of Renouf, to work out if we’re right for each other. We also offer a complimentary in-house assessment & training session.

Getting on the right track

Once you’ve decided to train with Renouf, we’ll delve even deeper into your motivations and roadblocks with the Renouf Triage Questionnaire. From there, you’ll meet a ProCoach who will develop your program and advise your Personal Trainer. Using our philosophy of the Four Degrees of Fitness, you’ll meet with your ProCoach every four weeks to assess and adapt your program in line with your improvements.

A ProCoach knows how to encourage change at a level that moves the client forwards towards their goals, but doesn’t ask them to be more than they are capable of at the moment.

We’re all familiar with the New Year’s resolution story: going from the couch to 7 workouts a week and a strict diet of 1,500 calories per day. This strategy falls down by February and you’re back to where you started by March.

That is why we have ProCoaches and Personal Trainers in your mentorship group. One to be the unbiased and experienced Coach. The other to be the guiding hand that implements the pathway.

Every 4 weeks your Personal Trainer will meet with your ProCoach to share your progress report.

Your ProCoach will design your next level of training; with subtle differences and challenges.
